From Bloody Bridge to Benone

Three photographs in polaroid style frames of Northern Ireland landscapes, with handwritten style text below each naming the place. The first is Strangford Harbour, followed by Glens of Antrim, followed by Benone Strand.

One of the perks of being an artist is going on location to gather inspiration, soak up the essence of a place, and capture source material such as photographs and sketches. This spring I took myself off on a number of day trips around Northern Ireland’s coastline to create a new collection of land & seascapes.

Ten New Landscapes for Summer

An original landscape painting by Kathryn Callaghan featuring Bloody Bridge river, Newcastle, Co. Down.

If you’ve ever holidayed in Northern Ireland, whether you’re near or far, this beautiful collection will remind you of sunny coastal days accompanied by fresh sea air and an ice cream in hand.
