How Christmas Shopping will look different this year

This week’s blog post Looks at how Christmas Shopping is shaping up this year.

Retailers typically depend on strong sales in Q4 to hit their annual figures, lets face it.  They want to see long queues with big sales.

But, like everything else in 2020, Christmas shopping will be far from ‘typical’

Firstly,  we have started our shopping earlier.  Rather than waiting for the unofficial start of holiday shopping on Black Friday, Some of us started as early as October! With shops, Studios, Galleries and outlets being closed intermittently throughout the year, we have thought carefully about avoiding last-minute crowds and social distancing.

Secondly, the 2020 Christmas shopping season will feature predominately online.  COVID-19 restrictions in place that limit the capacity and hours of stores, and the impending cold weather will lead to an increase in surfing the web from the comfort of our homes!

Watching these changes unfold, Kathryn has taken the time to adapt her business to tailor her products and services to meet the consumers needs.  Introducing Personal Mesasages hand written on the Open Edition prints and offering them framed has really opened up these up as desirable gifts.

With families not travelling home this year these prints of local scenes or family relationships  have proven such a thoughtful gesture.

Presentation is everything to Kathryn and earlier this year gift boxes were introduced for boats the Coaster Sets and Gift Vouchers.

Furthermore, from next week, Kathryn will be offering a gift wrapping service on all Open Edition Prints framed and infrared.  More details on this will released at the weekend.

We invite you to browse our online shop and should you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Christmas is always a special time of year and we hope that you stay safe, meet up with loved ones and manage to throw a positive spin on 2020 with a glass in hand!!
