My business’s strapline is ‘Painting the life you love, so that you can bring the feeling home’.
The meaning behind this is simply that I paint the things you love (could be your favourite animal, or a place, or even a bottle of gin); in turn evoking memories and feelings for you, the customer, every time you engage with the artwork in your home.
We are privileged to receive many messages from customers telling us what our art means to them. So today I am sharing one of these with you. It’s from Mr Robert McNulty in South Lanarkshire, UK, and is in reference to his print ‘Newcastle, Co. Down’.
“Hi, I just wanted to let you know the print arrived ok. I’m delighted with it. My mother was from Portadown and moved to Scotland age 22. When I was a child we would holiday at Mourneview caravan park. Now at 61 I can look at your print and it brings back so many happy memories.
A little bit of background as to why I love your picture so much:
The attached photos are my mother and I just along the beach, and my father around 1967. I can see him standing in that exact spot when I look at your print.
Thank you.
Robert McNulty”
I love that ‘Newcastle, Co. Down’ has the power to evoke these fond memories for Robert. It’s exactly the experience we hope for, for our customers. How wonderful to know that Robert is enjoying those happy childhood memories every time he glances at the print on his wall.
