Figurative Art

Kathryn’s figurative artwork is inspired by the human form and aims to capture the essence of movement and/or emotion.  She loves to portray the female form through dance, both contemporary dance and traditional ballet.  Her dancers are designed to portray the beauty of movement and to capture a moment in time.

Her figurative pieces often take the form of a semi silhouette.  She does this to make the focus of the paintings about movement and energy rather than an individual person.
