About Kathryn Callaghan
Kathryn is a renowned Irish artist based in County Down. Her signature poured art style is designed to capture the energy and essence of her subject matter. Her aim is to “paint the life you love so you can bring the feeling home”. In this case she tries to capture what she feels when she closes her eyes and recalls the landscape or golf courses she has visited. Hoping that this will resonate with those who play and love these courses just as much. Kathryn has been a professional artist for over 13 years, after leaving her earlier career in travel and outdoor recreation.
What is a Poured Painting?
A poured painting by Kathryn Callaghan is created on the floor, by pouring, splashing and blowing homemade inky mixes onto the canvas. Kathryn has very organic approach to creating her pieces, which involves pouring inks from mid-air. There is no underlying pencil sketch as this affords her the freedom to capture energy and that ‘feeling’ without limitation.
Where is the Exhibition?
The exhibition is being hosted by the Bushmills Inn, a fabulous and unique hotel in the lovely town of Bushmills on the North Coast.
You are welcome to visit the exhibition during hotel opening hours (10am to 8pm). The artwork is located in ‘The Loft’, which is the upstairs floor of the hotel. Or if you have time make a reservation for a meal or overnight stay at The Bushmills Inn – we highly recommended it!

Original Paintings: If you would like to purchase an original painting from the exhibition, Kathryn works with a local shipping specialist to arrange professional packing, shipping and door-to-door insurance after the event has closed. Please note there is an additional cost for shipping originals.
Prints: You can order prints online and these will be posted to your choice of delivery address. Shipping for prints is complimentary.
